Mission Statement
The mission of the Bradford County Fire Rescue is to protect lives and property through the provision of high quality emergency medical services, professional fire protection, rescue and public safety programs.
We will accomplish this through the delivery of rigorous department training programs, public safety education, fire prevention awareness, and initiatives that focus on reducing mortality and/or practices that can cause fire. Our personnel will strive to learn, improve, and grow in their ability to serve. Our personnel will accomplish our mission by upholding our core values of Honor, Dedication and Preparedness, while performing our duties in a safe manner.

The enormous commitment necessary to perform the department’s tasks requires excellence of character. We inspire each other through pride in our department, which is a belief that every action reflects on all personnel, both past and present.

Letter from the Fire Chief
It is my honor to serve as your Fire Chief and to lead the dedicated men and women of Bradford County Fire Rescue. Our mission is simple but powerful: to support our community in every way we can. Whether it’s responding to emergencies, providing fire and life safety education, or lending a hand during times of need, our department stands ready to serve.
We are guided by our core values of honesty, preparedness, and dedication. Honesty means being transparent, accountable, and trustworthy in everything we do. Preparedness ensures that when the call comes, our firefighters and EMS personnel are trained to the highest standard, equipped, and ready to respond. Dedication reflects our unwavering commitment to protecting lives and property, no matter the challenge.
As your Fire Chief, I hold a strong desire to do what is right for everyone in our community. That includes being a careful steward of the resources entrusted to us, making sure every tax dollar is spent wisely and responsibly. My goal is to continually strengthen our services while respecting the trust you have placed in us.

- Emergency Fire Suppression: Swift response to extinguish fires and protect lives, property, and environment.
- Emergency Medical Services (EMS): Advanced life support interventions to quickly stabilize and transport sick/injured patients.
- Hazardous Materials Response: Specialized response to safely handle and contain hazardous materials spills or incidents.
- Rescue Operations: Response to situations involving vehicle accidents, confined spaces, water rescues, and more. We’ve got you covered.
- Fire Prevention Education and Outreach: Proactive safety measures, including building inspections and fire code enforcement, to help prevent incidents before they occur.
- Public Education: Offering fire safety classes, community CPR trainings, Narcan education and more.
- Community Outreach: Actively participates in local events, collaborates with schools and businesses to foster a culture of safety and preparedness.
- Community Paramedicine: Extending healthcare services beyond traditional emergency care, works closely with local healthcare providers to deliver non-emergency care, chronic disease management, wellness checks and substance abuse assistance.

Emergency Response
Bradford County Fire Rescue is prepared to respond to a diverse range of emergencies and calls for assistance. Our initial response aims to effectively address the known hazards reported during dispatch.
To handle each incident appropriately, Bradford County Fire Rescue dispatches the appropriate type and number of units from our diverse array of resources.
The level of response is determined based on factors such as the type of incident, location, weather conditions, existing or potential emergencies, available resources, and the information provided to us. We adjust staffing levels and deploy specialized resources according to the specific conditions of each situation.
